Wood Devil

The Wood Devil is the story of a teen camping/road trip that goes terrifyingly awry... When they, the travelers, set up camp in a forbidden woods that has taken the lives of unsuspecting visitors before. Miles from no where, the friends soon realize the seemingly uninhabited forest is actually the spiritual breeding ground of a blood thirsty beast known as the Wood Devil -- and they are it's prey.

It's 30 years later and Detective Frank Wilson is retiring his badge but not his memory of one barbaric murderous day back in 1971. Instead of spending his last day in the precinct at a retirement party being thrown for him, he goes to the evidence room and pulls out an old box. In this box he'll find the answer to the 30 year old question he never could find before. The archived evidence sends us back to October 29th, 1971 to visit those teens as each one disappears at the fate of what the Hokan Indians call "Tuunbaq" (pronounced "Toon-Bock") which means "...A helping spirit of the devil."

As a Hokan Shaman describes his encounter he speaks in his native tongue as we translate.. the Wood Devil's back is hunched, ape-like but not. It's a towering example of evolved perfection.. it's hands are human-ish but muscles bulge from between it's fingers. Bat shaped ears, to hear from miles away... piercing red eyes that scan the night like an infrared scope.

Is the Wood Devil man's enemy -- of are we theirs? Discover how one of the five teens, Claire Simmons, barely escapes with the help of Detective Frank Wilson's instinct and heroism in the face of terror.. her story was extrapolated from journal entries and drawings found after her death in 2004... thirty nine years after the incident these findings would become the inspiration to tell her horrifying escape from the Tuunbaq... Wood Devil is a supernatural thriller for the big screen....
