Phil Thornton

After graduating from Norfolk State University in 2003, Phil Thornton moved to New York and started Bright Star Entertainment. A management/consultant firm, Bright Star, represented an array of talent including R&B group 112, Lil’ Mo among other chart topping recording artists / producers. Currently, Thornton represents all of the Ten2One music clients: Project 718, Jessica Reedy, and Tristan Wilds.

 

In 2006 Thornton inked a deal with the TVONE/Comcast network to produce two reality shows that premiered in 2007. The first show titled “I Married A Baller” starred NFL running back Eddie George and his wife of three years Taj George (a member of the R&B multi platinum selling group SWV). The second show titled “Famous People”, centers around individual celebrities and highlights their various charity works. In 2010 Thornton produced TV One’s highest rated show, “Lisa Raye: The Real McCoy”. All three shows critically acclaimed, have received rave reviews within the industry. Currently he is producing / developing several television projects (scripted and reality).
