Rachael Nicole O'Brien, SAG Eligible

Rachael Nicole O’Brien was born in Astoria, Oregon, a small town off the Oregon coast. Growing up, Astoria was a popular filming location became the launching pad for the beginning of her acting career. She had the opportunity to appear in the movie Kindergarten Cop at the age of 5, but that was just the beginning of her childhood in front of the camera and onstage.

Rachael began dancing at the age of 3, training in ballet, tap, and jazz. By the time she was in grade school she was a dedicated and determined dance student, attending class up to 5 hours a day after school. All of her hard work paid off when she was one of the youngest to be accepted to Whitman College’s prestigious dance program for young dancers. During her junior high and high school years she toured with a musical theatre group called Krayon Kids, performing for packed houses all across the Northwest. She was also the lead in the Nutcracker and appeared in many other classical ballet shows.

After graduating high school she attended The University of Oregon, but the entire time was itching to get down to Los Angeles to begin her acting career. Rachael graduated in just 3 years, earning her diploma at the age of 20 and moving to LA immediately afterwards.

Rachael puts her wit and dry sense of humor to work as a host on several different mediums. Rachael was the host of a celebrity gossip show called “The Hollywood Squeeze” produced by CrushTV, hosted a game show pilot for Fox called “Bingo America,” and still currently hosts a Sports Commentary show produced by the Emmy Award Winning Mandt Brothers.

Rachael has also been a successful print model and has acted in several commercials, music video and short films.

In Los Angeles, she has studied under acting coach Carolyn Barry and Carrie Dobro and honed her comedy and improv skills with teacher Donovan Scott.

If there is one thing that can be said about Rachael, it’s that she won’t settle for anything less than greatness from herself. She is driven by her passion and love for the arts and wants to be involved in all facets of the entertainment industry. Along with acting, she discovered her love for writing and decided to apply to UCLA’s competitive graduate program in screenwriting, a program that selects just 60 people. She was accepted and will start in September 2009.
