Michelle Joy Phelps, NON-UNION, AFTRA

A native to California, Michelle Joy Phelps is a creative talent with her focus set on becoming a successful actress in the world of Film and Television.

Born in Riverside, California in 1984, Michelle’s cultural background spans beyond the average individual. Part Native American, Spanish, Mexican, French Canadian, and German, her unique look stands out far from the rest, and her peers acknowledged her bubbling personality, creativity, and acting talent from even a young age.

The middle of three children, Michelle’s passion was to tell and be a part of stories, often interviewing invisible guests in the mirror for hours at a time and training herself for what she would be destined to do. Michelle won several awards throughout her elementary school years, and while in high school she performed in various plays within her local community of Murrieta, California. A few years after graduating, Michelle was ready to take her life to the next step.

With her heart and mind now fully geared towards acting, Michelle decided to leave home with only $300 in her pocket, move to Los Angeles, and pursue her dream. She took on acting as a full-time gig, and immediately landed roles in feature films and various television spots including “Speed Dating” and “The Simply True Show.”

Michelle is currently a co-host of the web series “Ask The Hot Chick” and also operates her very own high-traffic Internet blog. Exercising her dedication of giving back to others is another primary focus in Michelle’s life. A frequent guest on KZSU, Stanford University’s radio station, she continues to motivate those to believe in their dreams and never give up.

As if that wasn’t enough, Michelle is also currently writing her first book. Currently untitled, it will discuss life and relationships from a female perspective.

The Strength of Denzel Washington along with the comedic timing of Jennifer Aniston help shape Michelle’s vision of a great performer. Taking a little from each her goal is to enlighten the vision of any story, and convey all in the name of Joy...Phelps.
